Geocache Description:

This cache is NOT located at the posted coordinates.

Wagonmaker has a penchant for European Holidays, and you're invited along for the next adventure! Take a cross-Atlantic flight to some major cities of Europe and find a geocache or two along the way!

Find the cache by going North to Berlin, Rome, Manarola, Munich, Dublin, London and Barcelona.
Then head West to Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Bern, Marseille, Edinburgh, Strasbourg and Prague.

Before you head out, it's always a good idea to do a little field research. Get to know your destinations a bit better by studying the given locations carefully!

1. Let the adventure begin! Your flight lands at Heathrow and you head out into bustling London! At N 51° 30.619 W 000° 07.842, in Leicester Square, what is the first digit in the address of the Communication Building? (Currently hard to see this one. For now - add together the first three digits of John F Hunt's phone number.)

2. Take a train north through the British moorland to the Scottish capital, Edinburgh! At N 55° 57.006 W 003° 12.490, what is the second digit of the bus number on the back of the eastbound "First" bus?

3. Time for a ferry ride! Rent a car and drive to Holyhead, in Wales, for the boat to Dublin. Spend your evenings along famous Temple Bar! At N 53° 20.736 W 006° 15.806, how many arches are there on the west side of Quays Bar?

4. Your British Isles trip is coming to an end. You board a plane at Dublin International bound for Amsterdam. Your first stop has alot of historical and literary significance. At N 52° 22.505 E 004° 53.023, how many people are waiting in line?
... Just kidding! What is the total number of letters in the name of the person honoured at this "huis"? (First and last name together.)

5. Board the train at Amsterdam Centraal and ride through the countryside to Denmark! Right outside the Copenhagen Main station, at N 55° 40.451 E 012° 33.905, read the sign outside Tivoli Jackpot.

6. Back to the European mainland! Arrive at Berlin's Hauptbahnhof and take the S-Bahn to a famous former border crossing. How many flags are there outside the Haus am Checkpoint Charlie, at N 52° 30.428 E 013° 23.426?

7. Berlin was fun, but it's time to head for a true Eastern European experience! Drive through the rolling Czech countryside and arrive in Prague! Join the throngs in Wenceslas square and as you walk up to the monument, take a look around you! At N 50° 04.936 E 014° 25.575, what is the last number on the PESI ZÓNA sign?

8. After admiring Karlovu Most, take your rented car back to Germany! Time to take in the bräuhäusen of Munich! Your first stop is the most famous beer hall in the world! At N 48° 08.255 E 011° 34.865, what is the first digit in the date on the Hofbräuhaus Kunstmühle? (A very kingly mill!)

9. You board the train at Munich's Hauptbahnhof headed for some neutrality! Through the Tirol mountain range, past Innsbruck and Zurich, and you arrive in the Swiss capital of Bern. At N 46° 56.810 E 007° 26.740, what is the last digit of the address at the northwest corner of Inselgasse and Kochergasse?

10. Your itinerary takes a swing northward as you head for the quaint French city of Strasbourg for some shopping! At N 48° 34.821 E 007° 44.989, you find some interesting things at Aigle. Add up the numbers in their street address.

11. You've had alot of history and culture, it's time for some fun in the sun! Head to the beach in Marseille, on the southern French coast. Take the bus from le Vieux Port, and at N 43° 17.190 E 005° 21.089, find the seventh digit of the phone number for Bistrot Plage (and make reservations for later!)

12. The train ride sure is convoluted (four trains to take!) but you finally make your way west down the coast to Barcelona! At N 41° 22.494 E 002° 10.629, what is the first digit of the address of the Aduana building?

13. Your trip is coming to an end, but you're not ready to leave the beautiful coast line. Take a ferry from the Barcelona Port and cross the sea to Genova. A quick train ride and you arrive in the beautiful town of Manarola, in Cinque Terre National Park. At N 44° 06.411 E 009° 43.715, how many steps are there in the bottom, centre staircase going up to the plaza?

14. Last stop in Rome! Take the glorious Trenitalia service and get off at Roma Termini! Take the Metro to the Colosseum at N 41° 53.468 E 012° 29.495. How many letters total are there on each of the blue signs over the metro entrances?

Once you get home, it is time to search out the cache. You're looking for a medium Lock n Lock container. Shouldn't be a difficult find! Consideration will be given for possible seasonal disruptions at the cache location! It is not very winter friendly but will likely remain winter findable. Enjoy your European Vacation!
