We have hidden this cache to celebrate the birthday of the only Ursus Quercus Druid we’ve had the pleasure to meet – he’s a real bear of a friend and cacher!

In the woods and along the trails of North Carolina and beyond, there roams a distinctive bear with a taste for technology and tie dyes. This elusive creature, known as Ursus Quercus Druid is equally comfortable on land, in trees, at events, underground in wastewater tubes, skulking in parking lots, climbing at high altitudes, and sporting scuba gear underwater. If you should ever encounter Ursus Quercus Druid while on the trail/in a social setting/in a dark alley, you have no need to fear; instead, you should consider yourself lucky. This is an extremely friendly bear, and the worst thing he will do is help you find every cache within a 10-mile radius!
