This is a series of 11 caches placed around a circular walk in Pennington. It is one of my favourite walks and is on public footpaths and quiet lanes.
The route is about 3.5miles and should take you 1.5 - 2hrs depending on how long you take searching. Some of the caches can be found as a cache and dash if you prefer but I would recommend the full walk.
Some of the paths can be muddy in winter and there may be some nettles in summer (but not too many). The first part of the walk is on gravel paths and lanes and so would be suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs but during the second part you will have to negotiate stiles and smaller paths so you will not be able to get all the way round.
Some areas are very popular with dog walkers and bird watchers and can become busy in summer so take care when finding and rehiding.
Please keep dogs on leads and stick to the paths, all are clearly marked as public footpaths.
Towards the end of the walk you will come out near to pennington tip, please note there is no need to go in, just cross the entrance road and pick up the public footpath again. It is clearly signed.
