Geocache Description:

WA K Team Home Cache

This is our home cache for trackables we have released across the world to return to.

The cache is located on the edge of the canal development on the Western side of the Mandurah Estuary on what used to be farmland. In 6 stages from 1990 the area was transformed from farmland to multi-million dollar home land. In between the mansions there are vestiges of times past.

MARY McLARTY

This park is situated between Mary St & McLarty St.

It is not known who Mary St is named after but it is thought to have been a member of either the McLarty or the Sutton Family.

McLarty St is named after the McLarty family who were part of the second wave of immigrants to the Peel region, initially at the failed Singelton Scheme and ultimately near Pinjarra on the banks of the Murray River, where their original home Blythewood still stands.  The McLarty family were prominent players in the Peel region in its formative years and are still involved in farming and the Peel community today.

This Cache

This cache is a cammoed 1 litre systema with the usual log book, pencil, some swaps and room for small trackables. Please replace carefully to preserve the cammo.
