Geocache Description:

The Angels stand more than 5 metres high. The work is an homage to Portishead's lost radio masts, and representative of the new community of the redeveloped town, it is the work of sculptor Rick Kirby.

Rick Kirby: "I wanted to create something which celebrated the sense of community here at Port Marine. I was also inspired by the five radio towers, which were used during the war to protect the coastline and track the movement of ships."
The sculpture is made from mild steel plate, which has been welded so that it will rust together over a period of time. It is located in 'Central Park' in the Port Marine development.

This 'Central Park' has a very high muggle concentration, especially outside school hours when the sun is out too. Stealth is required!! The cache is a small cryotube (1.5 ml) containing a log roll. There is no space for a pencil or swaps. Pull the string and the paper comes out. Twist the paper tightly around the string to put it back, easily done by rolling the string between your fingers.
