Winfield
City Lake requires a $4.00 dollar recreation permit to visit the
grounds. You can obtain permits at the Lake Office, now located at
the Marina. Please take a moment to visit the website and read the
rules and regulations. The park rangers are very nice and aware of
the Geocaches at the lake. Please display your permit at all
times.
Special thanks to
QuickSilver1 for helping coordinate with the Park Rangers and
keeping up the good public relations.

DO NOT
PARK ON THE ROAD!
THERE
IS A SMALL PULL-OFF JUST NORTH OF THE CACHE. PLEASE PULL COMPLETELY
OFF THE ROAD, AND DO NOT BLOCK THE ROADWAY. Thank
You.
Roadside View
This Geocache is located on the southeast side of Timber
Creek, also known as Winfield Lake. This area offers some
interesting terrain and natural scenic views. It is full of
surprises, one of which can be found right from the start. As you
drive down 171st, the terrain is innocent enough, with the rolling
field to your left and some trees to the right. What you don't
realize is that just inches off the roadside, behind the foliage,
lay a hidden surprise. Step into the trees and see for yourself.
Please park at the fore mentioned pull-off and use caution. You are
looking for a 50 Cal ammo can hidden amongst the rocks along side
the road. Please pay attention to how the cache was placed and
re-hide it accordingly. Thank you, and Enjoy!
