The idea for this cache is to get you on your bike. It is
located just off the path along NCN route 41, and you get
green points if you post a photo in your log to show you
used 'pedal power'. The route nearby is almost completely
flat, off road and tarmac surfaced so no excuses! Try CycleStreets
to plan your journey. Severn Beach railway station is just over 2
miles from the cache site and the National Cycle Network is well
signposted from there. Route 4 and regional route 10 also pass
nearby.
If you do want to drive, there is a small car park just near the
entrance to the power station. Turn right before you get to the
barriers - the cache is a couple of minutes walk from there. Being
a surfaced traffic-free cycle route, the cache is child and
wheelchair friendly, although wheelchair users might struggle over
the last few metres to the cache itself. Watch out for nettles in
the grass (unless you're playing Cachebusters! See GC2JQNW)
The area is very quiet, with only the occasional cyclist and
twitcher about. From nearby there are good views of the estuary and
the M4 Severn Bridge.
You are looking for a small Brylcreem tub (black with a red top)
with just enough space for a couple of small swaps/trackables.
Please make sure it is screwed properly shut and placed securely
where you found it.
Congratulations go to Captain Gore-Tex for FTF!
