Geocache Description:

PULL!!! Each year there is a local event called Tugfest, where the cities of Le Claire, IA and Port Byron, IL square off for a good ol' fashioned tug of war. The difference? They do it across the Mississippi river!

The cache is placed near the tugging pit on the Iowa side of the river. At the time of this cache's placement, the score stood at Iowa 10 and Illinois 14. Now that's just unacceptable! So, we've placed this cache to get you interested enough to come out to Tugfest and root Iowa to victory (not that we're choosing sides, but you know. . .)

Also near this cache are several other attractions: a Buffalo Bill Museum (his birthplace is near Le Claire), riverboat cruises, and perhaps our favorite, a microdistillery! If you're of age, you'll want to stop in for a tasing.

The cache is a small lock-n-lock knock-off tucked away out-of-sight. There are some things in it to trade. There is also an Iowa Geocachers Organization 2010 Pathtag in there for the first to find.
