This cache is a tribute to our lifelong friendship, this point being the meeting place between our childhood homes. NOTE: TERRAIN IS STEEP AND ROCKY, AND THERE'S LOTS OF OVERGROWTH IN SUMMER, PLEASE TAKE CARE GETTING DOWN TO GZ.
Many an adventure began at this bridge, including white water rafting (where I lost my glasses, and Lulu (of lulu_zulu) found them by stepping on them, followed by a vigorous round of picking off leeches), tryouts for the Russian ski-jumping team (we didn’t have skis, and we’re not Russian, but why let the little details stop you when you’re 12?) and biking marathons (which every now and then involved a few wipeouts).
When placed the cache contained:
A pair of reading glasses (in tribute to the white water rafting adventure)
A salt packet (makes for easier leech removal)
A handwarmer (keeps the ski jumpers warm)
Bandaids (1st aid for the bike wipeouts)
1 travel bug
various small swag
