Nelly's Cache Traditional Cache

A nice walk to Nelly's Glen following signposted route and by the side of a burn.
The cache is placed about halfway along the path to the Muir Dam and the path has recently been cleared so a walk all the way to Callander is possible. Nice scenic spots to stop for a bite to eat or a picnic by the burn where the cache is hidden.
When cache was hidden it was quite muddy underfoot.
Please be aware of sheep in the fields, particularly at lambing time.
Start by parking at free parking by public toilets in village. Walk up to Main Street and head east to the church. Go past the church, old rectory and Church Hall and just past this is a track with the farm sign name Macrieston. Go along this track and the path is then signposted with yellow arrow markers to Muir Dam. Follow the path which runs by the side of the burn. At the stile N56 10.737 W004 08.678 the path takes you around the perimeter of the field but when the cache was placed it was possible to walk across the un-ploughed field heading due North.
We're not sure who Nelly was as local history doesn't seem to relate, but we're sure she would approve of Cachers enjoying the beauty of this spot.
When placed the cache contained log book, pencil, marbles, squishy fish, Tartan Teddy TB, dice,& bangle.
The path, via marked route around perimeter of field behind church, also connects to the North Common where "Comm'n Find Me" cache is hidden
