(Cache transferred to ownership of 'The Ninjas' March 2013) Lovely woodland walk on the North side of the village of Christon Bank. #5 in a series of 'D.I.S.C.O' caches so you will need sharp eyes to spot the cache. Geokids will love this walk but there is a small stream running alongside the path so please keep an eye on them. Wellies may be advisable on a rainy day. Parking is available on a grassed verge - co-ords in the listing
When we set the cache we saw a lady walking by through a "tree passage" and thought should we follow to see where it leads. We let her walk on for a while and followed in her footsteps. We came across a memorial of Edward and Dorothy Grey surrounded by trees that they had planted themselves. We decided to follow the trail a bit further and came across a lovely little area near a duck pond on the back of Fallodon Hall. I can only assume that it is public as there were no gates or fences and there were also seated areas around the pond. To get to these area's from the cache area look left of the tree from the "main path" and you will be able to see the pond from GZ (or maybe the little rowing boat that we saw from GZ) you should pass right by the memorial site on your way to the duck pond.
