Short walk in a beautiful secluded valley.
The road through the valley takes you past quite a few old farm buildings; all adding to the feel of the place, which is definitely far from the alternative tourist-type places of the Lakes - Lakeland at its best. Follow the low path for a short distance along the wall to the cache. The wall shields you from the deer (if they're there, of course) an ideal evening stroll, when you may be fortunate enough to spot the deer. We didn't on this occasion but a rather cheeky fox scampered across our path and we watched it wend its way right across the valley. There is no shade nor shelter along this valley so be prepared according to the weather.
