Micro on the walking track that runs behind the rightfield fence at the Gadsden Softball Complex.
This is the third cache in "my favorite homeruns series." Back in the 90s, I spent most of my free time playing softball at these fields.
The story behind this cache goes something like this. Once again, we were playing against our arch rivals, and it was a close game. I batted behind a local legend, Alfie, who was one of, if not, the best hitter I've ever played softball with. They decided to WALK him with two men on base to pitch to me. On the first pitch that I see, I hit one high and deep and outta here! It was like a rainbow, and probably one of the highest homeruns that I've ever hit. This cache is located near where the ball fell over the fence. Of course, Alfie went crazy, and I'm sure in his barrage of cracks on the other team, the phrase "Walk This!" was uttered. I felt pretty good about that one, and that's why Walk This has made my favorite homerun series.
You will have to walk this track to find the cache, and there is no need to go to the creek side of the fence.
