Geocache Description:

Short walk to a beautiful spot on Amorgos where a shipwreck is hidden that was once the star of a movie.

The film
The Big Blue (French: Le Grand Bleu) is a 1988 English-language film made by French director Luc Besson. The film stars Jean-Marc Barr, Rosanna Arquette, Jean Reno and depicts a fictionalized account of the sporting rivalry between two famed free divers.

The shipwreck
Amorgos was scene to "The Big Blue" and at Liveros Bay still stands the shipwreck of "Olympia" formerly also called “Inland” which was featured in the movie.



How to get there
Take the western bus to the end of the line at Paradisia beach. Head back down the road & take the first turning on your right signposted Kalotarítissa. 30-40 minutes later you should be able to see the wreck down a scrub covered valley on your right.

The cache
The cache container is a 2.4 litre plastic box that is hidden under a stone. It contains a stashnote, a logbook, a pen and some trading items.
