Geocache Description:

A morning Meet & Greet in the middle of one of our favorite geocaching areas in Iowa

9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on April 23, 2011.

Call it breakfast, brunch, or brunchfest, we invite you to meet with other geocachers for a morning munch-time at the roadside rest area along Highway 65, south of Iowa Falls. We will be serving a simple informal breakfast to get you fueled up for a day of caching in an area that has recently exploded with geocaching activity.

Thanks to the efforts of Jdrush, Dawnandgary, -CacheHound, Patandkat, Mustangcats, Snifferhound, and many others, this area has over 100 caches within a ten mile radius of the event site. Hardin County is blessed with parks and recreation lands, with a topography beautifully sculpted by the Iowa River and its tributaries. You can search for park & grabs, bird caches along country roads, or even go more adventurous for deep-woods caches along the river.

Jackpine-Savage will provide milk, juice, pastries, boiled eggs, fruit, paper plates, and cups. Please sign up and let us know how many to plan for.

Several new permanent caches will be released at the event. We should be able to upload coordinates to Garmin devices, so you might want to bring your cables just to make sure we have proper connectivity. Hardcopies of cache info will also be provided.

- Unfortunately, there are no restroom facilities at the event site.

- Additional Rules: "Divide-and-conquer-style" team caching will not be allowed when seeking the new permanent caches released during this event. Team geocaching is allowed, even encouraged, as long as all members of your team who are caching at the time are present at each cache when you sign the log. Any cache logs claimed by using the divide-and-conquer team style will be deleted. Any questions concerning this rule may be directed to Jackpine-Savage.

- Disclaimer: Attending the Breakfast in Birdwatcher's Paradise event and its activities is completely voluntary. Event attendees assume all risks in attending the event and seeking geocaches. Neither the event coordinators nor the event helpers may be held liable for any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential damages connected with this event.
