I was originally going to hide this cache in one of the nooks or
crannies that are a plenty here, but after watching a field mouse
scurry beneath one of the many barriers I decided it would not be
wise to stick my hand in one of the many holes blindly. If I
wouldn't do it I shouldn't expect others to.
Depending on how the wind has blown, and how the previous hider
left the cache dangling it may very well be visible from the
ground. I would think that generally you'll be able to see the
silver bison tube dangling above everything. The location will be
quite obvious when you arrive.
The other part of this challenge may be avoiding the eyes of
passing cars. I had no problem while hiding it. But I did it at
night when I couldn't be seen as easily. (I'm like a Ninja!!) I
recommend approaching from the "back" side away from traffic.
I kindly ask that you do not try to remove the whole
container, but just screw off the bottom to retrieve the
log
Just a warning....I learned while climbing that the metal frame
at the top, that the cache is hung from is not completely bolted
down. It will not come off the structure, but it will spin. I have
a few scrapes to prove it. Please be safe out there
Please be sure to use the ample pull off area so the few cars that
use this road won't be hindered during your search.
