The cache is placed in a park with howitzers nord-east of the bulgarian revival town Klisura. It's a fast catch, which could be pretty well combined with a walk in the town or hike in the mountain.
Klisura is a picturesque town in the outskirts of the mountain. "Klisura" from bulgarian means "a small narrow area between two mountains"-in this case these are The Balkan Mountain and Sredna Gora Mountain. In a short distance is also the hill Koznitsa, which connects both mountains. Under the hill and with the same name is the longest railway tunnel on the Balkan peninsula, which is 5808m long. It is absolutely straight and there is a legend that if you reach the middle of it you will see both of the endings. The train travells in the tunnel for about 10 minutes!
The town is also an important historical place, which is always connected to the great April Uprising as one of its main centers. The revolutionary Nikola Karadzov who was born in Klisura read there the letter, which gave a beginning to the Uprising. Despite all of the men and women in the town fought bravely, the Uprising there was bloody crushed. You can learn more about the culture and history of Klisura in the Historical museum on the main square of the town or you can visit a couple of houses from the bulgarian revival as well.
Klisura is also a starting point for many mountaineers to climb Peak Vezen, Peak Bogdan or to make a nice trekking to another revival town like Koprivshtitsa.
You can reach the town and respectively the cache by train (railway station Klisura), by bus from the bigger cities or of course by car.
Cache on and when you are on this magnificent place do not forget to bow down for a minute before the great mountains and the brave bulgarian history!
