The soothing call of the loon, the fresh clean scent of the pine trees, the white birch branches gleaming against a clean blue sky, sun diamonds dancing on the lake, the thrill of pulling in that trophy fish, skiing across one of the 10,000 lakes in the land of sky blue waters, the huge bull moose, the antics of a black bear cub, the majestic soaring eagle, the iron ore mines of the North and the sweeter than honey corn of the South, the wildflowers of spring, the lazy days of summer, the brilliant colors of autumn moonbeams sparkling on fresh fallen snow, this is Minnesota. Of course, there’s also mosquitoes big enough to carry you away and the aroma of pig farms scenting the summer air in the South. But it’s all part of the state we love. Come visit Minnesota!
My parents and I originally come from the beautiful north that is Minnesota. My wife and I moved to Ohio in 2009. Since we've geo-cached together before, we thought that would be a fun activity to hide a cache when dad & mom came for a visit. We also thought it would be fun to bring a little bit of Minnesota to Ohio. Please enjoy the tokens straight from Minnesota, but they are not meant for trading. Please do grab a postcard, write a short note about yourself, and send it back to Minnesota (address already on the postcards).
