Discovered this place a week or so back when
exploring the area. This location screamed out to me as being in
need of a cache. Small camo Lock ‘N Lock in unique
location.
There are a couple of options for the approach.
If you are just going after this cache/nearby caches, you can park
at the area described for "Gold Mine" (GC1Z6BF). Travel towards
Gold Mine and intersect a traihead at N 41 06.966 W 074 28.603.
Head towards "Canistear Iron Mines" (GC1GMTY). You will intersect
with a main trail near this cache, follow your gps.
If you prefer a loop hike for a dozen or so caches, park at the
indicated area for "Postmater Snyder's B&B"(GC1NVR4), start
with "Dungeness Crabs & Didgeridoos" (GC2CMZ6) and work
clockwise, ending up with "Between A Rock & A Hard Place "
(GC2B866) and returning to your starting point.
The cache is located on NWCDC property
which
requires a hiking permit.
