Geocache Description:

Barooga Kiddies Cache

Welcome to my 47th cache hide... I have always wanted to put a few caches in this lovely part of the Barooga State Park. So i went for a drive, and i had a "Kids Cache" ready to deploy. So when i saw this spot, I said to James and Jemma (my 4yo twins) who were with me on the day, "hey kids, does this look like a great spot or what?" "Yeah, lets hide it here they say." So i did.

A little bit of background for the adults..... The Barooga State Park (or State Forrest) is a large area of land which extends from an area east of Barooga on the Murray River, to about halfway between Tocumwal and Barooga to the West on the Murray River. The funny thing about it is, that where this cache is placed, is the only way to travel along the State Park all the way to the West. I have not been able to find another way into the park from the Tocumwal end. This has frustrated me, as i want to place a lot more caches in this area in the future.

Ok, now the kids information..... Ok kiddies, this is a really easy hide, and with some adult help, go and have a look for it. Watch out for creepy crawlies like spiders. Make sure an adult is with you in case you see a spider or a snake...... When you find the treasure, there are some kids stuff in there you can swap. I have put a picture on the page, ask your mum, dad, grandparents or someone else to show you so you know where to look for the treasure.

A bit more for the adults... Be sure to walk over to the river bank (be careful there is a bit of a drop to the river). You will get a very nice view of the old Cobram-Barooga Bridge.

I have stated that kids can do this cache, adults please use common sense Re Snakes, Spiders (I know you will....) Check out the area for them and be with them on the find. Anywhere in Australia, snakes are always a threat. HAVE FUN KIDS....
