Cache placed on a morning of FTFs while out with J of The Family of Goats! Bout .5 mi hike out the Shakota trail along one of my favorite parts of this trail… Just a neat section as your approaching the cache and I always liked this windy section on my Mountain bike.
Cache can be found about 40-50 ft off trail and is, as others placed a “Benchmarks the spot” style hide, only slightly different ;) No room for a pen, so bring your own and whatever you do…ENJOY THIS TRAIL! My buddy broke his brand new bike right here on its maiden voyage…funny how that works, but at the time the lake was low so we made the best of it on the beach before heading back with our bikes!
Be aware of poison oak...there's a bunch of it all over, but cache is "relitively" accessible without coming in contact with it.
