Geocache Description:

Have you been here before? Arnold's Cove is a small community in Placentia Bay first inhabited in 1864. Although first established as a fishing settlement, it is now a centre for nearby projects involved with the Hibernia offshore oil platform.

According to (visit link) it has currently surpassed a population of 1200.

Some interesting things to research (or google):

# Birthplace of writer Ray Guy (That Far Greater Bay)
# The Red Herring Incident
# Home of Baxter Wareham (“Rubber Boots” song)
# Lobster capital of Placentia Bay
# Only annual ecumenical carol service in the province to raise money for Children’s Wish Foundation
# Gateway to Placentia Bay
# Economic hub of the isthmus
# “Ghostly White Woman” tale
# Winner of Tidy Towns

The cache is a small lock-and-lock container with electrical tape. Coordinates may be a little off but I am soon getting a better GPS!
Cache contains just a logbook but can hold small trinkets and coins.

When you find it perhaps you can update the coordinates for future hunters!
