Ever thought it was a nice day for a drive and wanted to cache along the way? Well, this series is that solution for you! All of these caches are located near/on paved roads and will take you for a nice scenic drive through Houston and Allamakee counties.

Welcome to the It's A Nice Day For A Drive Series, this series is designed to give you a nice drive with scenic views and some caching along "backroads" of the Coulee Region. The first leg will take you along the Great River Road and the second leg will start in New Albin, Iowa and take you up to Eitzen, Minnesota. All of the caches are located near/on paved roads for those of you with motorcycles and sports cars that want to take them for this series. Cache containers vary from location, but most will be similar containers. Hope you enjoy this and if you do let me know so that I can decide if I wish to extend the series on from Eitzen.

Little county park along the Mississippi River, come and visit the area! Just watch out for the darn sandburrs!! Houston Counties only campground and park, Wildcat has sure changed since I was a kid and would ride my bike down here to swim or fish. Sure, the shelters are the same, and the playground equipment is from the old school but the park has changed. Now, I enjoy bringing my family down here during the summer to camp, swim, and fish in a place close to my hometown.
