T. McCulloch patented the orginal Donation Land Claim for this valley. Also, the original site of Hadleyville is on old Territorial Road/Applegate Trail just over the ridge to the northwest about 1.5 miles. There are several McCullochs, Briggs, and Hadleys in this cemetery.
These days this (southwest) half of Briggs Hill Road is primarily cattle and vineyards: Hinman/Silvan Ridge, SweetCheeks, and Briggs Hill. King Estates Winery is about 9 miles south on Territorial Road. It's a quiet neighborhood, a perfect spot to reflect on how much things have changed in just 150 years.
Please do not disturb the neighbors! At a sharp curve in the county road (N43 57.651 W123 16.183) take the left of the driveways, up the hill to a gate at the SE corner of the cemetery. Support the gate and slide the handle out gently. For an easier turnaround, veer north and around the fence to the North gate.
Cache container is an ammo box filled with lots of toys; you won't have any problems finding it.
