Geocache Description:

Here's an interesting fact: Did you know the Harriman Dam actually has two outlets?
Of course there is the main outlet that forms the Deerfield river, but there is also a hidden, much smaller outlet. Do you want to see it? Well that's the object of this hide.

At the parking area you can read about the dam and available trails in the area. There are many caches besides this one on various other trails. If you would like more history of the Harriman Dam and the reservoir area visit this link

The trail makes a sharp turn to the left after passing around the metal gate coming from the parking area. From here it's a mild uphill walk. Stay on the trail until you cross a small bridge if you don't want to jump across the stream. The cache is just a little distance off the trail.

Note: To open cache gently pull straight outward.

* Wow, that was a fast FTF. Congratulations Bren1467, guess I can't fool you anymore. *
