Joey has hidden his hoard with the help of some cunning masonary camoflage ...
You can park on Baptist Lane or Queens drive to get to this cache
Muggles walk their dogs around here so beware any unwanted attention but it's in an area with a bit of cover.
Both routes are kid friendly although note the M1 is the other side of the fence and up the banking.
We've tried a plastic pot this time after comments from Rutson on [Joey's treasure] ... hopefully this one will weather a little better ...
... there is plenty of room in here for swaps and stuff.
It's in full sight from people on the football field if you don't add the stones to cover it up so please make sure it's covered when you replace.
Happy hunting!
Ossett treasure series:
-----------------------------
We have built up a fair bit of tupperware in Ossett.
All except a couple are intended to be kid orientated with a good stock of treasure in most caches.
Suggested route:
----------------------
1. Park on Queens drive near motorway bridge on the east side (uphill)
2. Climb style and head north through field (M1 on left) to [Ossett Hot Wheels Garage]
3. Head back towards Queens Drive picking up [Shortrounds secret] on the way and noting clue for [Indy and the Raiders of the Lost Park]
4. Cross Queens Drive, walk under motorway and take a left down footpath heading towards [Joeys Hoard]
5. Pick up [Joeys' Hoard]
6. Head South (M1 on left) across playing field and take a right up Baptist Lane picking up [To Cap it All] on your way up.
7. At the end of Baptist Lane you will reach a main road. Cross over and head up Manor Road until you reach a small park and playing field on your right.
8. Enter the park from Manor Road and head uphill towards [Joeys Secret]
9. Pick up [Joeys Secret] and consider stopping for Fish and Chip pit stop (50 yards further up path)
10. Head back downhill through park and back down Manor Road until Grave Yard on right
11. Take a right just before Grave Yard down lane and pick [Jack's Treasure] up.
12. Continue walking down lane and follow 90 degrees to left at end.
13. Continue to main road.
14. Take right at main road (ignoring [Joey's Treasure]) for now.
15. Consider a pint and play on swings at boozer :-) before continuing on and picking up a rare micro [Branching out]
16. Walk a little further, taking a left to pick up [Charlie's Treasure] just before 'Welcome to Horbury' sign
17. Return back from where you came to main road and
turn right back North from where you just came towards [Joeys Treasure]
18. Consider another pint and perhaps a go on the
climbing frame as passing boozer a second time :-)
19. Pick up [Joey's Treasure] from next to horse field 20. Walk back Baptist Lane and go back down hill. Go through the tunnel under motorway (the Batcave!), and up into Roundwood Park taking a right as you
emerge from the tunnel (knee deep scack for a short distance to get to next cache! :-))
21. Pick up [Near the Batcave] and note clue for [Indy and the Raiders of the Lost Park]
22. Consider a short detour to Jonty303's [Disputed Territory]
23. Finally, solve the simple puzzle using the 2 clues collected from [Shortrounds Secret] and [Near the Batcave] and pick up [Indy and the Raiders of the
Lost Park] on your way back to your motor on Queens Drive
... hope you enjoyed finding our little series as much as we had fun making and planting them!
