Geocache Description:


This Cache was hidden for a project involving 6 schools from around the area. They were learning about the National Nature Reserve at Duncombe Park, about the amazing ancient trees and rare beetles and bugs which live on the them. The children did a circular walk up the Cleveland Way to Griff Lodge and then doubled back through Duncombe Park to see the ancient trees. This was made possible by Natural England and the Duncombe Estate. To make the walk even more exciting we hid temporary caches along the way but also this permanent cache. For many of the children this was their first time geocaching and they really enjoyed it. You can see some of the work they produced following their walks in the gallery.
