Geocache Description:

This is one of only two tarmac motor racing circuits in Northern Ireland.

This prestigiuous short circuit race, normally run in October each year, has previously been run at Aghadowey and Kirkistown, but has now found it's home at Bishopscourt - a former airfield, like all of our short circuits in the Province.

Past Winners of the Sunflower Trophy Feature Race include World Superbike, British Superbike and TT winners and riders, including Jim Moodie, Steve Hislop, Brian Morrison, James Whitham, Matt Llewlyn, Michael Rutter, Marty Nutt, Michael Laverty, Jonathan Rea and Ian Lowry.

The cache is a green bison-type with only a log inside, no pencil. There is no need to detach the cache, just unscrew to get at the log.

There is parking right in front of the circuit entrance gates. There is no footpath, but here is a marked out 'lane' and a grass verge which has kerb edges, where it is safe to walk on, at the side of the road. There is no need to enter the circuit.
