Tromsøysundtunnelen


The Tromsøysund Tunnel



Cachen ligger like over utløpet av Tromsøysundtunnelen på fastlandssiden. Det er egentlig snakk om to parallelle tunneler; T1 fra Breivika på Tromsøya til Tomasjord på fastlandet og T2 motsatt vei. T1 er 3386 meter og T2 er 3500 meter lang. Tunnelen når 102 meter under havet, og største stigning er 8,2 %. Tromsøysundtunnelen som er en del av Europaveg 8 ble åpnet i 1994. Like før åpninga ble det gjennomført turmarsj gjennom tunnelen, tur-retur Breivika. Dette er eneste gang menigmann lovlig har kunne gå gjennom tunnelen i hele dens lengde. Det er nemlig forbudt for fotgjengere å ferdes i tunnelen!

Cachen er en palatka style og inneholder bare loggark og FTF-sertifikat. Ta med blyant!

The cache is located above the end of Tromsøysundtunnelen at the mainland. We are actually speaking about two parallel tunnels; T1 from Breivika at Tromsøya to Tomasjord at the mainland and T2 the opposite direction. T1 has a length of 3386 meters and T2 3500 meters. At the bottom you are 102 meters below sea level. The tunnel is a part of Europe road 8 and was opened i 1994. You are not allowed to walk through the tunnel!

The cache is a palatka style and contains only log sheet and FTF certificate. Bring your own pencil!
