Farm Park IWAE was established in 2009. The park is located in MIHARU town. It will take twenty minutes to see huge and beautiful cherry tree by car. Miharu Taki Zakura (“Taki” means waterfall, and “Zakura” means cherry tree.) is very popular and beautiful in every April. The cherry tree is very huge and estimated over a thousand years old. The height is 13.5m, and its branches are spread out 5.5m to north, 11.0m to east, 14.5m to south, and 14.0m to west.

As you know, after the Great Earthquake in East Japan, Atomic Reactors in Fukushima are in trouble, now. And, our brave men are doing recovery effort of the Atomic Reactors. So many people who live near the atomic power plant in Okuma town in Fukushima prefecture, must leave their home town for the risk of radiation. I hope that the area will be completely free of anything harmful as soon as possible. Also, I hope you, geocachers to come to Fukushima prefecture. Fukushima is the region richly endowed with nature. There are many beautiful mountains, lakes, rivers, and sea. Also, there are so many hot springs and delicious foods. Please come to Fukushima ,and cheer the people in Fukushima up.

I am the owner of over one hundred geocaches in Northeastern Japan called TOHOKU region. (in Fukushima, Miyagi, Akita, Iwate, Yamagata, and Aomori.) After March 11, 2011, the number of visitors who found them was 667 in a time between the day of the disaster and March 11, 2013. I decided to make a donation for the disaster victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake of one thousand yen per one visitor who found one of them. So, I made a donation of JPY 60,000 in October 2011, JPY 50,000 in December 2011, JPY20,000 in March 2012, JPY110,000 in July 2012, JPY190,000 in October 2012, JPY190,000 in January 2013, JPY70,000 in April 2013 and JPY300,000 in August 2013. Since I will continue this program until September 11, 2013, please come and visit my geocaches in Northeastern Japan.
