Geocache Description:

There are currently 2 other caches on this property but both are single stages with fairly short walks. At over 1000 acres, Wheaton Farm is Easton's largest parcel of Conservation Land. We thought it deserved a multi to showcase more of the area.

Expect to cover about 3 miles (or more, depending upon which trails you choose!) on this 4 stage circuitous multi. There are many trails and intersections. We suggest you use tracking and/or mark intermediate waypoints to keep your bearings straight.

The conservation area is bisected by Bay Road. A parking lot for several cars can be found off of Bay Road near the community garden. The area is comprised of many previous homesteads and farmlands. There are several pastures that remain but most of the acreage is wooded. Foundations and old stone walls can be found throughout the property. You'll also pass a couple of ponds and brooks. This place has it all :)

Stage 1 is about .75 miles from the parking lot, near an interesting rock formation known as "The Cave".



Along the way, you will find that some trails are wide and flat, while others are rocky and obstructed.

There's also a small brook to cross.


After locating the final, you can backtrack if you'd like to do more exploring or you can continue down the path until you come to the road and close your circuit that way.
