nwk_berlin: After re-visiting the area a couple of times and thinking about how I could replace this one, I've decided to archive it for now. I hope to replace it sometime in the near future. I think that it's really important that people know about this jewel!

Near the Arkell Art Museum.
This little-known museum, formerly called the Canajorharie Library and Art Gallery, has some incredible pieces of American art for such a small town thanks to the family that owned Beechnut. It contains many works by Winslow Homer, as well as some by such notables as George Inness, Mary Cassatt, and Georgia O'Keefe.
I had lived in the NY Capital District for many years before finding out about this gem--and then only through an Albany airport exhibit while waiting for an arrival, or was it a departure?
If you don't want to enjoy the art, you can still enjoy a picnic nearby.
