Geocache Description:

A hike to the peak of Binn Bhán

Binn Bhán means 'white peak' and is the highest mountain in Co. Galway. From the top you will have fantastic views of the Twelve Bens, the Maamtruks, the Mweelrea Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. To download the GPX file of the route we took click here.

From the car park to the cache is a 2.5 - 3 hour walk. The altitude difference is 750 - 850m depending on the route taken. Proper waterproof walking boots/gear and gaiters are required. Depending on the time of the year this area can be very boggy and streams might have to be crossed.

Enjoy.
