"De Schreve" est le mot en patois Flamand pour la frontière entre France et Belgique dans cette région. L'origine du mot "schreve" (un trait, une ligne) explique que cette frontière est sensée comme quelque chose d'artificiel, une ligne dessinée au hasard sur une carte.
Ce cache se trouve près de l'ancien chemin de fer d'Ypres à Haezebrouck. Il y avait 5 lignes pour des milliers de Flamands qui prenaient le train vers leur travail en France, jusqu'aux années '60. Ces chemins de fer transfrontalières sont tous disparus. Aujourd'hui, des milliers de Nordistes font la navette à leur travail en Flandre Occidentale en voiture.

Vous pouvez loguer le Schreve Challenge cache à partir du moment ou vous avez réuni les différentes conditions :
- Bien sûr vous rendre sur place, trouver la cache aux coordonnées et loguer la cache physiquement
- Avoir trouvé dans le département du Nord (France) ET en West-Vlaanderen (Belgique) au moins une cache traditionel, au moins une multi-cache et au moins une cache-mystère.
- Lister dans votre log le link à l'adresse URL de votre log de cettes 2 x 3 caches (voir log example)

Bien sûr cette cache ne peut pas être employée comme une des 6 caches nécessaires pour loguer.
En cas de doute, on fera confiance à la position de la cache vis-à-vis les frontières comme indiqué sur www.geocaching.com/map.
Tout log ne respectant pas ces conditions sera effacé.

Dans le passée, il y avait la possibilité de donner la liste des 2 x 3 caches sous forme de GC-code ou sous forme de public bookmark list. Avec ces méthodes, il est devenu très difficile de vérifier vos logs depuis le moment (septembre 2011) que Groundspeak à supprimé la fonctionnalité de voir tous les logs d'une cache d'un seul coup.
Si vous ne savez pas toute suite comment il faut introduire le link vers le found d'une cache dans votre logs, envoyez-moi un email et je vois explique.

De Schreve is de naam voor de grens tussen West-Vlaanderen en Frans-Vlaanderen. Die is nooit als een echte grens aangevoeld, maar wel als een toevallige lijn op de kaart, vandaar ook de naam.
Deze cache ligt op de oude spoorweg van Ieper naar Hazebroek. Dit was één van de 5 spoorlijnen die tot midden 20° eeuw dagelijks West-Vlamingen naar hun werk in Frankrijk brachten. Deze spoorwegen zijn allemaal stopgezet. Nu nemen dagelijks duizende Fransen de auto naar hun werk in West-Vlaanderen.

Je kan de Schreve Challenge Cache loggen zodra je aan deze combinatie van voorwaarden voldoet:
- op deze coordinaten de cache vinden en fysiek loggen zoals bij elke andere cache
- in Département du Nord (Frankrijk) EN in West-Vlaanderen (België) minstens één Traditional, minstens één Multi en minstens één Mysterie gevonden hebben.
- in de log de links naar het web-adres van jouw log vermelden van deze 1 x 3 caches (zie voorbeeldlog).

Deze cache komt natuurlijk niet in aanmerking als één van de 6 caches om te mogen loggen.
In geval van twijfel wordt gekeken naar de plaats van de cache tov. de grenzen zoals getoond in www.geocaching.com/map.
Logs die niet voldoen aan deze voorwaarden, worden gewist.

Vroeger kon men het lijstje van de 2 x 3 caches ook leveren als GC-codes of als een public bookmark list. Sinds Groundspeak (in september 2011) definitief de mogelijkheid heeft afgeschakeld om alle logs van een cache in één keer te bekijken, is het zeer moeilijk geworden om logs van een cache te controleren.
Als u niet direct weet hoe een link naar uw log van een cache moet ingelast worden, stuur me een emailtje, dan leg ik het uit.

The "Schreve" is the name of border between France and Belgium in the region. The origin of the word "Schreve" (a sketchy line) cleary states that the border is never felt as a division, but as a rather accidential line on a map.
The cache is near the old railroad from d'Ypres to Haezebrouck. Up to the sixties, 5 railway lines crossing the border brought thousands of Flemish workers to their jobs in France. These railways are all history now. Today, thousands of French commuters cross the border to their jobs in West-Vlaanderen, by car.

To log the Schreve Challenge Cache you have to meet all the following conditions :
- find the cache at these coordinates and log it physically in the usual way
- have found both in département du Nord (France) AND in West-Vlaanderen (Belgium) at least one tradtional cache, at least one multi-cache and at least one mystery cache.
- list in your log the links to the web-address of your logs of these 2 x 3 caches (see example log).

Of course this cache can't be used as one of the six caches that need to be found to log this one. In case of doubt, the location of the cache will be checked against the position of the borders as shown on www.geocaching.com/map.
Logs that don't fulfill these conditions, will be removed.

In the past, it was offered to give the list of the 2 x 3 caches as list of GC-codes or as a public bookmark list. Since Groundspeak definitively has switched off the possibility to view all logs of a cache at once (September 2011), it has become very difficult to verify logs using these methods.
