Island View Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

crkayaker: I searched for this one and couldn't find it either. As others have said, the area has had all the brush and bushes cut down, no doubt to improve the ocean view for the houses across the road. Since there is nothing to hang a new cache on, I'm archiving the cache.

Geocache Description:

I thought this part of the Rotary Seawalk could use another cache. It's a lovely spot to sit on the beach and watch the birds and activity on the water. In the winter there are many eagles around this area.

The cache is a cammoed preform located on the water side of the bushes between the walkway and the beach. You don’t need to crash through the bushes to get to the cache. There are many access trails to the beach both north and south of the cache. The terrain difficulty rating is a 3 because in order to get to the cache you have to make your way across the logs between the beach and the bushes.

There is a small pencil in the cache but you might want to bring your own just in case. Please leave the cache as you found it. Be careful of muggles. The spot is shielded from the highway by the bushes, but it is a popular area for people walking along the beach.

This area can get hit with gale force winds during the winter months. Please make sure you leave the container securely attached. Thank you.

There is a parking spot about 120 m north of the cache. The coordinates are below.
