Salmah Plateau Cache is small lock&lock box
located on the Salmah Plateau, reachable only by 4x4.
To
reach the cache 4x4 car is required, once you leave Muscat - Sur
highway at the sign board Qur'ran, you will leave also tarmac road,
and you will follow the steep mountain road up to the mountain.
When you reach plateau you will have nice scenery all around, you
can visit the Majlis Al Jinz cave (it is not allowed to rappel down
without permission) and enjoy the driving along the graded mountain
roads. Cache is located next to old tower shaped tombs. It is
possible to camp close to them but it could be quite windy there so
be careful with your tents. :)
