Geocache Description:

Just out of Kaiapoi,the main road to it is Giles road with small shingle road leading off.Do not drive through the ford it is far to deep but very interesting place.No room for pencil so please take one.No need to get wet feet .This bridge was built in 1890 for access to Ohoka.Has had several names the current one being Butchers ford.It crosses the Kaiapoi river.It should be no problem to get to this cache by wheelchair.
