Geocache Description:

Reviver Possum is in memory of my dad who called me "possum"
and always told me to stop, revive and survive while travelling on the roads.

The Hastings SES Community Driver Reviver Centre has now been operating for over 21 years. During some years it has catered for up to 45,000 visitors requiring a break from their road journey. Driver Reviver at present has 314 eager volunteers. These consist of people from the SES, Rural Fire Service, CWA, Lions and Rotary Clubs, plus members of the general public. In 1989 the Driver Reviver relocated from the car parking area of the Billabong Nature Park to its current position on the Pacific Highway.

The establishment on the Pacific Highway first began as an old caravan, tent and a porta-loo. Through the generosity of the local tradesmen, businesses, clubs and community many extensions have taken place. The caravan has had a make over and additions of toilets, a stock storage area, cool room, maintenance shed, a television room, outdoor area and log fireplace has all been built. These provide comfort to our fellow travelling Australians and international guests.

Driver Reviver offers clean restrooms and has provided a hot or cold beverage to over 654, 000 visitors and their pets. This is an extremely high muggle area during holiday season so stealth is a deffinate must. Please enjoy my first hidden cache.
