Geocache Description:


This if the final Cache of the 7 that make up the route around this part of the Golden Cap Estate. It is now a relatively short stroll back to the car park that you started out from. See: Golden Cap 1: Welcome to Golden Cap (GC2RVDY) for full details about parking and the route.


It is difficult to imagine that wood now covering Langdon (meaning long hill) is relatively recent. Less than a hundred years ago it would have been a flat topped open grassland hill like Pilsdon Pen or indeed Golden Cap itself which in prehistoric times would have extended more than a mile further seaward than it does today.

To find the full coordinates, gather the letters you have found in the other caches, each with its number. The letters form an anagram of a special place on the estate and by substituting the numbers for letters you will have a 10 digit number. The first five digits will complete the Northings, and the last 5 will complete the Westings. You are looking for a small Bison type micro-cache, suspended. Remember tree cover can make GPS location unreliable so think like a geocacher. Area can be frequented by muggles so take care not to give the game away.
