Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates

It was a beautiful morning in April, 1962. The president was enjoying the day with the rest of the family in his compound on Palm Beach when the secret service came rushing in to whisk him away. They quickly jumped in the boat to head over to his secret bunker on the nearby spoil island. While heading the short distance between Palm Beach and the spoil island, the president was informed that NORAD has detected a possible nuclear missile launch and they needed to get him to safety.

Ken, his chief of staff, asked him, "Mr. President, do you have the launch codes with you in case this is the real thing.

The president replied, "No, I hid them on the island. I don't remember exactly where I put them, but I remember it was not too far from the bunker. I always carry the location with me, but have it written in code so that it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to bring the decryption device with me. Maybe once we are safely in the bunker, I can phone someone and they can help me decrypt it."

His chief of staff told him, "Mr. President, there is no time for that! Show me the code and maybe I can help you."

The president pulled out a small slip of paper with a string of numbers and letters.

"Mr. President, that looks like gibberish. How is anyone ever going to figure that out?"

"Don't worry, Ken. It is a lot easier than you think."

Note: If you don't have your own boat, you can catch a water taxi from either the Sailfish Marina on Singer Island or the Riviera Beach Marina. Round trip cost at the time this cache was placed was $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids.
