Geocache Description:

This is a virtual cache. It was a physical cache but due to a bad winter the old cache location is gone.

The Heritage Center is a memorial in Escalante, UT dedicated to the memory of an amazing pioneer trek. Take full advantage of the informational plaques and breathtaking scenery located on the east end of town.

In the autumn of 1879, some 250 men, women, and children undertook one of the most challenging and dramatic pioneering expeditions in American history.
