Geocache Description:

The cache you seek is a little bit disguised as something else, but otherwise hinted as a geocache by other signs and signals that we geocachers understand such as rocks not-quite-in-the-right-place etc. Placed where it is to keep it out of any likely running water on very wet days. Bring your own pen....

P M C Kermode suggested "If ever there were otters in the Island, they may have been met with in Lough Pherric, and have given its curious name to the Dog Mills, Mwyllin-Moddey, though, to be sure, we have the same word in Cronk-y-Voddee, Ellan-y-Voddee, Cooil-Voddee, and even Balla-Moddeys, which, I suppose, had reference to the domestic dog." - dog mills is english translation of orig manx name
In the late 19th C "Besides his activities in Ramsey, Mr Gibson had a mill at the Dog Mills for crushing bones, which were converted into bone manure." (from W H Kneale's reminiscences)

This little cache is on one of the lesser known (but worthwhile) stretches of yn Raad Ny Foillan. The Road, all the way up and around the Point of Ayre is magnificent if you like the whole "waves crashing on stones, sea birds crying and wheeling overhead" experience.
