Geocache Description:

The Roxburgh Branch (Railway) Series.

I was on my way home from Beaumont, scoping out more places for the branch line series, when I came to this corner.

I stopped.

What an awesome view.

I tried to see it through the eyes of those early passengers who were lucky enough to have a window seat on the river side of the train when travelling towards Millers Flat and Roxburgh. I think that I would have been gob-smacked.

Imagine also, if you will, the mighty Quinnat Salmon fighting their way upstream against the current, responding to that most primal of instincts, the urge to procreate, to ensure the continuence of their species.

When I placed this cache it was a clear, clear Autumn day, the water was sparkling in the sunshine, the leaves on the willow trees turning that brilliant golden yellow hue so typical of Central Otago.

Who would want to live anywhere else but in this beautiful part of the world.

My wish for all the cache hunters out there, the pleasure that I get from visiting spots such as this.

The cache container is a screw capped cylinder, about 300ml, and wrapped in black masking tape.

Congratulations ....pipedream ..... FTF
