The Pewaukee Public Library is the joint library of the City and Village of Pewaukee. Located at 210 Main Street, the doors to the 27,600 square foot facility opened in September, 2005. Click here to see full description.

Perched atop the Pewaukee Public Library is the Harken Observatory and so we thought "Reach For The Stars" would be a good name for the cache.

If you have a garden and a
library you have everything you
need. ~Cicero
Pewaukee Library has them both; thriving collections of books, movies, audio and more and a beautiful rain garden on Main Street.

History of this location:
The original school building was built in 1844 on the site of the present day Pewaukee Library. The year 1858 saw a larger building constructed. A brick school was next in 1884. The old cream brick school was torn down and replaced with a new brick school in 1917. A fire with no traceable cause occurred at the high school building on Main and Prospect in the summer of 1953. The school was closed in 1985. Fire was again responsible for the destruction of the school on Main and Prospect when it burned on November 11, 1992.
Here are some pictures of the schools.
