Wood Gas - En kort 2-stegs multicache

Under andra världskriget blev olja en bristvara och Sverige tvingades minska sitt oljeberoende. För att möjligöra fortsatt drift av motorer och motorfordon övergick man bland annat till gengas som drivmedel.
Gengas (kortform för generatorgas) är en gas som uppstår vid ofullständig förbränning av trä eller kol. Från omkring 1940 började man därför framställa gengaskol i stora mängder här i Huseby, detta skedde i de åtta stora ugnarna som står kvar än idag.

Wood Gas - A short 2-step multicache

After the outbreak of the second world war, the availability of motor fuel was minimal in Sweden. To keep motors and motorvehicles running charcoal was produced for production gas - wood gas.
From about 1940 great quantities of charcoal were produced for this purpuse in Huseby right here at those eight big owens.

But the cache can be found in the dynamite cellar...
