Cache hidden near one of a few community gardens found throughout Dartmouth. 2 kg duct-taped peanut butter jar. There is no need to tramp through the garden or flower beds.
This is a great place to watch the fireworks or cruise ships as they steam in and out of the Harbour. When my wife and I moved to the Southdale neighborhood eight years ago, it was a big secret. I still remember remarking this with one of our new neighbors on top of this hill during one of our first walks through the neighborhood to explore, and him replying back "Yeah, don't tell anyone!" The secret is now out. Southdale is one of the more desirable old neighborhoods to live in on the Dartmouth side. Centrally located between the two ferry terminals, most residents can walk, bike to work or take advantage of transit. Now that we are moving out of the neighborhood after adding three wonderful kids to our family and outgrowing our first house, I thought it would be appropriate to leave a cache here to help us keep the memories of a great neighborhood. This cache is near a community garden that the local residents maintain and share responsibility in tending, with the reward being a nice harvest of cucumbers, tomatoes, and other veggies at the end of the season.
