The Little Red Caboose Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Marko Ramius: I was reviewing caches in the area that appear to need maintenance or have been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time. I see that this one hasn't had a status update from the owner in the past few months. Obviously, we give extra time when a cache must be disabled for reasons beyond the owner's control, but it does help to have periodic updates.

Please post a note to the cache page to let us all know the status: Any plans to replace (now or in the future)? A report that the area is not yet ready for a cache placement? A simple note on the cache page just to let us know that you haven't forgotten about the cache?

Please respond on this cache page within the next 30 days. If we do not hear from you, we may conclude that the cache has been abandoned and the cache may be archived. Please be aware that caches that are archived due to a lack of communication or maintenance may not be unarchived.
Please note that we now place greater emphasis on "refreshing the gameboard" which means that our SoCal volunteer Reviewers will be more aggressively freeing up space for new caches to replace old ones that are not being properly maintained. In this vein, a response on the cache page from the cache owner is required to avoid archival.

Thank you for your understanding.

Geocache Description:

The Little Red Caboose was one of my favorite story books as a child. We lived with a Highway in front and a RailRoad track behind our house. We loved to go out and wave at the Caboose-Man as the train passed.

This area is filled with Train Lore and still has constant train traffic on the rails, supplying food and other goods across this great country of ours. But alas, there are no longer any caboose at the end of the trains.

This is one Caboose you can get up close and personal with to explore it, and to find the cache.

Entry is through the West door

This cache is placed with permission of the land manager who will help in maintaining it. Duranclan will also help if needed.
