Venerable Valley View Traditional Cache
meltdiceburg: Archived as I just keep getting needs maintainance logs that are only regarding wet log books, and unfortunately I don't have time to keep everything as perfect as seems to be required these days.

A drive by located close to a admired view over Glossopdale and Charlesworth.
I've never been a great believer in driveby caching. I can't help but always think what it must be doing to our carbon footprint. However, on this occasion hopefully the view will make it all worthwhile, and remember, there are a network of footpaths in the region so walking is always an option, bewaring of any traffic on the road where used.
The particular view in question can be partially seen from the cache site but even better is to walk down to the corner where by day or by night you will find a stunning view. Just take care if walking down to look, but it's worth taking a camera on a clear day!
Please use the parking space just above the cache (see waypoints), and watch out if people are out in the nearby horse enclosure not to give the game away. Please also leave it as you find it so others can fully enjoy the search, no hints in logs please!
Additionally please take special care while walking, and also driving on this road. Respect the local residents and drive slowly, this is a road for dog walkers, horses and bikes ahead of cars. Be aware that the decent into Broadbottom from here is very very steep. Do not attempt it in the snow or cold conditions as ice will surpise you on this road and it's steepness can make it very dangerous.
I'm not giving any clue as drivebys are too often too easy, but it shouldn't be too hard.
