Geocache Description:

Log'n the Lumberjack (commonly known as Log'n Jack) was carved by
Derek Kerwood to celebrate the forest and timber industries which
led to the establishment of Kawerau. It represents the pioneers of
Kawerau while the middle panel, carved by Megan Godfrey, depicts a
range of sporting and recreational activities in which Kawerau
people excel. The lower panel was carved by Bob Rowlands in the
styles of the major tribes of New Zealand. The whole statue was
unveiled in 1997 as part of the National Woodskills celebrations.
It is opposite Kawerau Information Centre. Beware muggles.

Bring your own pen.
