SLO:

Cerkev sv.
(pozna gotika) zelo redko. Najbolj je znana po vhodnem portalu, ki
ga je izdelal 1544 Gregor iz Rake. Gotsko oblikovan šilasti
vhod je okrog in okrog okrašen z zelo dobro ohranjenim
plitvim reliefom.
Pozorno smo si jo ogledali in našli naslednji napis:

ENG:
Church of St. Peter at Dvor was built during 1525-48. It is very
well preserved, which is quite rare for late Gothic buildings in
Slovenia. It is famous for its entrance portal, made by Gregor from
Rake in 1544. The entrance, shaped in typical gothic pointed style,
is decorated with shallow relief. Above the portal is Thurn
family's coat-of-arms. Thurns were owners of near-by Polhov Gradec
manor for a period of time. Interior has a lovely wooden ceiling
made in 1577 with two inscriptions in Slovenian which are believed
to be the oldest of the kind in Slovenia.
It is not clear why they built such a big church in such a small
village, which on top of it had already had a church. There are
many legends to explain this. The most popular one says: "Once
upon a time the owner of the Polhov Gradec manor was riding by,
when his horse fell on its knees and in such manor by-passed the
place. Count took it as a sign to build a church on this spot".
For that reason locals refer to this church as a Count's
church.
The church was closed at the time of our visit, so we only saw
the exterior. We were most attracted to decoration of the entrance
portal. After the close examination we found the following
inscription:
